Urgent Notice: Relocation of ICoICT 2026

Relocation of ICoICT 2026 to Bandung

Dear ICoICT 2026 Participants, Keynote Speakers, and Partners,

It is with a heavy heart and after careful consideration of recent global political events that the Organizing Committee has decided to relocate the 14th International Conference on Information and Communication Technology (ICoICT 2026).

The conference, originally scheduled to take place in Bali, will now be held in Bandung, Indonesia, on the same dates: July 30 – August 1, 2026.

This decision was not made lightly. Our primary priority is the safety, well-being, and seamless experience of our delegates. Given the current regional landscape, Bandung offers a stable and welcoming environment that ensures we can uphold the high academic and professional standards ICoICT is known for.

Reasoning for the Relocation While we initially looked forward to meeting in Bali, several converging factors have necessitated this shift to ensure the stability and success of the event:

  1. Global Geopolitical Volatility: Escalating conflicts in the Middle East and the Iran region have created significant uncertainty in international travel and logistics.
  2. Economic Impact: The resulting surge in fuel prices and airfares has created a challenging financial environment for our international delegates.
  3. Institutional Alignment: In accordance with recent directives from the Indonesian Ministry regarding fiscal efficiency, we have prioritized a venue that allows for more sustainable resource management.

Our Commitment to You By moving to Bandung, we are able to maintain the high quality of the technical program while mitigating the rising costs associated with a destination venue like Bali.

Next Steps:

  1. Travel & Logistics: We recommend adjusting your travel plans to Bandung. The city is easily accessible via Jakarta or directly through local transit hubs.
  2. Accommodation: Updated hotel recommendations near the university and conference site will be posted on our website shortly.
  3. Support: Our secretariat is ready to provide updated invitation letters for any participants needing to adjust their visa or funding applications.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause. We believe this move to our home city is the most responsible path forward to ensure a safe, affordable, and successful ICoICT 2026.

Sincerely,

Edward Ferdian

General Chair, ICoICT 2026
